So we have a Bandit 1200 here.
The other day oil sprayed out everywhere~
I wonder if the round cooler and stock hose are just too much for the Bandit 1200~
The muffler was close by and melted the hose . . .
Really dangerous stuff. It’s surprising how useful the undercowl can be in situations like this
Fortunately nothing bad happened, so we’re switching to proper routing.
Back in the day, the hose on my own GSF1200 with a stock cooler suddenly developed a hole too
I’m amazed it didn’t crash . . .
So then . . .
Usually we’d go with standard #8 mesh hose and fittings
but this time we’re building it with flex nylon mesh hose, which is rumored to be softer.
It has black braiding on the outer layer and the hose is really flexible
We found flexible fittings too, so we’re using those ☆
Even after tightening, they spin freely, so routing is super easy ♪
Was making hose ever this easy? It came together in no time!
Forgot to ask about bolts, so we’re stopping here . . .
