I wonder how many people out there have had Asakawa Speed’s Asakawa hand-bend a muffler for them…
This is one of those rare few.
The exhaust pipe is titanium hand-bent with a slip-fit connection, I think around 42.7 millimeters.
The tail section is about 50.8 millimeters.
What’s interesting is the silencer.
A 100-millimeter aluminum shell bent into a banana shape.
The inside is bent too, of course ☆
And the aggressive tail pipe ☆
Pushed as far inward as possible,
There’s almost no straight section all the way to where the silencer connects, so it’s an exceptionally beautiful tail.
Hand-bending and pushing it in like that is a one-shot deal, so it must be pretty difficult.
For a Katana that’s been ridden for nearly 25 years, I think it’s remarkable.
