Nobody’s going to show up in this weather
I was hoping to peacefully wrap up the GS1000 engine, but—
I forgot to order the bearings for the transmission—the important ones, really important ones.
They haven’t arrived yet.
For now I took out the drive and driven gears, washed them thoroughly, and checked them.
There’s metal debris in the oil passage.
Next I’ll put helicoils in the damaged spots on the case, check the threads around the head, and that’s about all I can do for now.
Oh well.
