There’s no particular roughness or significant play, but with 78,000 kilometers on them already, it’s time for replacement
We pre-position the oil seals and such from the start★
If you just assemble them as-is, the lip drag is quite pronounced, so rolling resistance is poor.
Even non-contact bearings have some drag, so we apply a little nose oil to help
get them positioned well during assembly★
New bearings really do spin beautifully~
This one’s got high expectations
Finally, we disassemble the speedometer gear, clean it, and reassemble it
and it runs just a little bit better★
