Continuing with the work.

Replacing various parts on the painted components. The top bridge won’t budge at all…
I’m reminded of the nightmare from the other day with the 1100J, where different offset pieces were installed top and bottom…
It’s a matter of whether to disassemble the front end quickly or work through it methodically.

Trying to avoid brute force, I half-offset it and wrestled with it for about an hour before finally getting it loose—this is some serious corrosion.

I also replaced the stripped POP rivets.

A nerdy detail: only on the early GSX-R750 GR71 models, I think. The oil line inside the pulser cover isn’t plugged. If you’re switching to a Yoshimura cover, you need to drill out the plug and press it in.
The left cover is on hold because the gasket hasn’t been sourced yet.

I swapped in an H2 master cylinder and fabricated a new bracket.

A pretty clever fastener design on the second attempt. The finish isn’t perfect, so I’m keeping it hidden.

If you’re planning to ride for another five or ten years, you should definitely keep an intake manifold on hand. With such a short distance, you can’t reuse offset pieces like this.
