We’ll start with the front. Cleaning and lubricating the speedometer gear and cable.
It might improve a bit.
The axle is straight with no bending—good news.
We’ll polish and paint the areas that can be cleaned up nicely.
The bearings look fine—no issues. *The truth is, it’s rare to find problems with them. Bearings are really excellent components, aren’t they?
We cleaned the caliper. The piston action was at a decent level.
After washing, spray on rust-preventive oil and wipe it off. This should help resist rust and deterioration.
The wear is pretty uneven and sharp. It’s best to replace the pads along with the disc.
During regular inspections, it’s a good idea to clean around the disc holes. There’s more dust buildup than you’d expect. After that, spray brake cleaner and scrub thoroughly—the disc will shine right up. You’ll get that nice crisp brake sound too.
Lift the dust seal, apply fork oil, and scrub away. Quite a bit of dirt comes out. It’s cleaning and rust prevention combined with lubrication.
Between the top and bottom, lightly wipe and spread rust-preventive oil. It should help resist rust.
