I threw in the towel on this job★
Cast welding is beyond my aluminum welding skills,
I couldn’t pull it off!
No matter how much I polished and cleaned it, little black spots kept bubbling up and popping out…
I had no choice but to ask the shop manager.
I brought it in at night, chatted with him, and explained what I was going for.
He said “I’ll wrap it super tight!” and pushed through to get it done.
The leak check came out perfect★ Spot on.
This time I learned from the Katana job and cut it at an angle.
Since the bike leans forward when entering, the front face is what takes the hit,
so I bent the panel on the front side and gained as much clearance as I could★
Sorry if it still hits too much…
The sad reality is there’s still more to build.
Will it run by today…?
