I’ll reduce it until it spins smoothly. If you wash your bike a lot—like with an off-road bike—you might want to skip this.
 

 
This one’s still mild, but the really stubborn ones can develop step wear.
In the end, the seal wears down, but so does the collar.
 

 
Applying grease to the lip area makes it spin really nicely.

With OEM wheels, the air valve position isn’t always the heavy spot.
If you match the tire’s light spot to the heavy spot, sometimes you get perfect balance without weights, and sometimes you don’t…
Well, the tire’s light spot is just marked by the manufacturer anyway, so it’s pretty rough.
