So when I did the inspection the other day, I noticed a subtle gasoline smell.
When I took a closer look, I saw fuel seeping from around the #2 float.
Apparently the engine wouldn’t start last year, so they had it overhauled at a nearby shop.
I told the customer it would be better to contact the shop that did the work and have them fix it as a warranty claim.
Well, since it ended up here at Decoboco, apparently they wouldn’t take responsibility for it.
There’s no point dwelling on it, so I just told them,
“Well, that’s a good learning experience!” and left it at that.
So
It’s hard to see, but fuel is seeping out like crazy.
Even if it breaks, that’s okay. ★ Even if you mess up, that’s okay.
Everyone makes mistakes, but the customer isn’t at fault.
If you can clean up the mess, ★
If the step on this side or the rubber is hard when you push it, that’s no good.
Modern rubber types last pretty well.
There’s a spring inside the pin on this side, so when you push it, it needs to move smoothly.
I’ve even seen brand new ones that didn’t work right.
Something came loose—never seen that before! ★
This is the first time I’ve seen it come loose from here.
Is it the coil/cap or the cord/cap?
I wasn’t sure, so I’ll replace the cord and cap.
