We won’t forget about it.
Plans are uncertain and things rarely go smoothly—that’s what I’ve been thinking lately.
There are so many ambulances around.
Tokyo is pretty scary; I feel it every day.
We’re going to attach the ears on the upper fairing stay.
You know, the bits for the mirrors and such.
Since we have a bender, bending is easy. Heating and bending by hand is a pain.
Don’t you think these bend easily if you drop the bike or lay it down, and then it’s a hassle to fix?
So the strategy is to make it removable.
And manufacturing becomes a bit easier and more flexible—nothing but good things, I think.
I made a boss that attaches to the stay. I milled it so it fits the pipe.
And that’s how it all came together.
If it’s weak, we reinforce it.
If it doesn’t work, we remake it. I love building things that don’t fail.
