The work is pretty plain—mostly thinking things through and fussing over panel gaps.
First, I’m adding ears to yesterday’s piece.
Since it’s pipe-to-sheet, I fold the sheet into an L shape, so to speak, to follow the pipe contour and then join it all together.

Rather than chasing dimensions, I adjust the brackets to fit the fairing properly.
Left and right asymmetry is pretty much a given.
Even if you make the fairing bracket perfectly straight, it won’t line up with the fairing, and forcing it leads to cracks and damage.
Soft and delicate is the way to go, right?
I’m using the rumored YS mirror. (I named it myself.)
The existing bracket won’t work, so I cut it off, positioned it, and welded it in place.
Due to material constraints, just the left side for now.
