We can confirm the service data from Kawasaki Motors Japan, which is really helpful.
I’m grateful for that.
Oil level: 0.5±1 mm
Float level: 17±2 mm
There are rare cases where the actual oil level differs even when the float level checks out,
so checking the actual oil level gives me more confidence, and that’s what I do.
The float level should be fine too,
but honestly, how are you supposed to dial in “0.5 mm” anyway?
One thing’s for sure: it’s always better to check than not to check.
 

 
The plug cord didn’t arrive, so I fired up the engine with a different coil,
and it went “Dogogo, rattle-rattle-rattle”—man, this engine was loud and clunky.
 

 
Now it runs smooth and steady—looks good.
It might be done tomorrow.
