These rubber-type ones hold up really well.
We don’t see stepped ones very often, but “stepped or scratched ones need replacement.”

Block three ports and leave just one open to supply fuel.
It speeds things up a bit, anyway.
Keihin carburetors come in types we can’t use this on, so we’ll need to make another version.
The plan is to install the carburettor tomorrow, sync it, and we’re done.
