Well, here we go with the continuation.
I checked for white smoke this morning out of concern. Whether it was something in the combustion chamber or just fuel buildup, I’m not sure, but it’s gone now.
At any rate, that’s a relief.
So
It looks pretty clean, but it’s oil with quite a bit of viscosity.
There were signs of previous disassembly, so that made it easier.
Both sides have heavy rust on the back and the plating is thinning out, so we’ll need to replace them next time.
There’s quite a bit of step wear, so I scrubbed away at it, but it rusts easily so watch out ★
The light output is pretty decent. We’ll get it through inspection on Monday, take it for a test ride, and we’re done!
