The piston rust is minimal and in good condition ★
Parts were supposed to arrive,
but nothing came today . . . . On hold.
 

 
Let’s drain all the oil!

Check and replace.
 

 
The steel plates showed no heat damage.
The friction plates feel pretty crumbly when you touch them.
Don’t skimp—replacing both together saves you from doing it twice ★
 

 
This plate has more slits, so the contact area is small × many
Is it designed to increase the contact pressure per plate?
It’s always this one.
 

 
The GSX1400 had an oil cooler installed DIY, so we made a bracket as a service,
but I got the welding position wrong, so this is scrap . . .
It’s been a while since I welded ~ The bead is uneven ★ Bummer
