I’ve never worked on a Hayabusa before.
Plus, this bike barely has any bolts holding the fairing on from the outside…
In other words, it relies mostly on clips and snap-fit fasteners, so you have to be careful.
Usually the owner takes them off for me, so this time I had a rough go of it…
It took two hours just to get this far ☆ Argh!
That’s a victory for humanity ☆

Whoa, it won’t budge at all ☆
That’s why I keep a water pump pliers that I’ve modified ☆
Grab it with this and it comes right off with a “click” ☆
If I’d used a hook wrench, I think it would’ve rounded off. It was that tight.
By the way, the operation was the worst ☆ When I took off the sidestand and moved it,
man, it was heavy… over-tightened big time. The oil was so-so.
It was all dried out.
Time to swap it out.
