Everyone’s favorite “Mysterious Ailment Dot Com” is back.
We’ve encountered all sorts of strange motorcycle ailments. ☆
Every single time, we’re just amazed by these mysterious phenomena.
When it comes to mysterious ailments, there’s a circuit of logic: “problems always follow a pattern.”
Maybe the same goes for smooth running too? Who knows.
So
For example, this time:
• All four cylinders are firing
• Idle is extremely unstable
Since we did carburettor maintenance and oil-cooled maintenance the other day, I suspect the areas we touched.
Plugs OK → Ignition OK → Carburetor OK. Hmm, hmm, hmm!
Next, I notice an abnormality with the stock immobilizer lamp…
When the idle drops, the lamp flashes dimly “blink blink blink blink blink.”
↓
The immobilizer with integrated wiring was unclear how to disable, but it was in the manual! Disabled.
↓
Still blinking “blink blink blink”…
What could it be? What could it be?
Hmm, hmm… I looked near the coil and saw sparks jumping to the frame… Found it! ☆
It’s badly burned…
The method of sticking the tip out, bending it, and inserting it is hard to judge the fit and risky.
Using a snap connector that clicks in place is safer, so from here on the owner did it themselves.
Glad it got fixed safely.
