Found something sketchy in the strainer…
It’s a washer that was cast into the head cover gasket… I’m amazed it held up this long.
About once a year someone calls saying “I dropped this while trying to adjust the valve clearance myself.”
All I can tell them is to remove the cam and do their best to fish it out.
DIY means you cover all the costs yourself. That’s how everyone grows up.
The muffler won’t fit no matter what?
The muffler is hitting the oil pan and frame, so you have to force it on.
You’ve got to lower it 10 mm to make it work.
