Let’s sort and dispose of tools we don’t use or can’t use from time to time.
SNAP-ON old logo… it’s gotten pretty worn and has a lot of character.
I want to keep the tools I use daily to an absolute minimum.
This Facom doesn’t have a release function so it’s been put away, but I’ve kept it because I like the design.
I haven’t used it in years, though…
At first I was drawn to thick-plated SNAP-ON and MAC, but as I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to really appreciate the matte finish of STAHLWILLE and HAZET—it doesn’t slip and feels great in the hand.
I tend to reach for groundbreaking tools, but… I think you can handle almost anything with orthodox TOOLS.
Ate caliper piston tool.
It’s become common to see in recent years, but you hardly ever saw it a while back.
I think specialized tools are worth having if you can get them, and without them you can’t remove or install things at all.
In the end, modifying or making tools to improve convenience—that might be what reduces careless mistakes.
Various measuring tools have been digitized so we can measure quickly and repeatedly.
But the other day I checked Mitutoyo’s website and they’ve improved even more… I’m deflated. Hmm?
