The space around my desk has gotten cramped, so I’m in the middle of adding shelves and reorganizing things.
It’s turning out to be quite a bit of heavy work.
I choose things I like the design of, even if they’re a bit inconvenient to use. When you do that, you end up taking better care of your things.
The more compromises you make on function, design, and price, the more mediocre the item tends to be. Since compromising often means things turn into garbage right away, I try to be careful about everything before I bring it home.
I’d like to keep things simple and not accumulate more stuff than I need. That’s what I think about every day, though it’s easier said than done. (I have so much stuff already.)
