It’s surprisingly cold for March… Today we’ve wrapped up another one-shot job. Let’s head back to the shop and get to work.
Today we’ll start with the front maintenance SKF.
We’ve disassembled it. Work moves quickly on a familiar bike.
The oil content is reasonable.
There’s some wear showing, but it’s not at a problem level.
We’ll remove the rust later and apply rust preventative.
We’re hoping it won’t corrode too much.
It’s in quite good condition.
It’s packed in nicely. Visually reassuring.
Premium Newtech NC100 grease enhances the handling feel.
Next, let’s move on to the front fork.
The oil is still clean.
The first wash is done, so now we’ll remove rust, correct and measure, wash once more, and then reassemble.
