Let me take measurements and fabricate a threaded collar for OHLINS that fits the GSF1200.

Since it’s been a while, I’m puzzling over the manufacturing sequence to avoid doing things twice.
Before that, I’ll need about an hour just doing the arithmetic—addition and subtraction—to get the measurements right.

I’d like to compromise and use 2017, but let’s go with 7075 to be safe.
I love 75—it’s really beautiful—but on a small lathe like ours, cutting it takes a lot of time.

Finally, I’ll do a two-face cut with a small milling machine and it’s done.
Making something like this takes me about three hours, so we basically don’t take on this kind of custom work.

A stepped collar on one side is a handy design. A 25φ axle is possible too, but let’s keep it simple this time and go with 20φ.
