Today we’ll install an ETC unit.
I’m thinking of installing it like this: I’ll lift the left cover, slip it into the gap, and use DZUS fasteners for easy attachment and removal.
I’ll use a somewhat tedious press-fit method. I’ll press it in after anodizing.
Deciding on the antenna position is quite a puzzle. If I want it clean and simple, avoid co-locating fasteners, and not compromise serviceability, there’s hardly any space left.
If it just needed to be mounted and work, it would be quick, but that’s not always acceptable.
Surprisingly, V5 and mini-barring have been really useful lately.
I found the old clutch switch location, so I’ll use that spot.
