This is a Bandit 1200 that recently passed inspection. Let’s perform a Deco-mainte service.
The lever had some oil on it. We’ll replace the boots.
The shift and brake side also has good oil on it. When the levers and pedals move smoothly and snap back cleanly without any lag, it really feels great and lets you focus on riding.
The throttle side was clean too.
The oil had dried up on it, as expected.
The gap between the frame side and the side stand side was a bit large. We added a shim.
The bearings have been replaced, so that’s good enough.
The front right side movement is a bit stiff. Rather than repeatedly working the caliper, if it’s stiff, seal replacement and internal cleaning are more effective.
We replaced the air cleaner and spark plug.
It was slightly misaligned, so we adjusted it.
We changed the fluid. After a test ride, we’re done.
