In recent years, units this size are available, and they’re being installed in larger areas with good airflow.
On bikes like the Hayabusa, they’re located behind the undercowl, and on models like the R1, they’re inside the ram air passage ahead of the air cleaner. Being small, conditions inside the cover are pretty tight.
Since there’s no ideal location, we’ll secure it under the battery case.
It’s not fancy, but simple and fine, I think.
I want to check the generated voltage. Of course, I’d also like to see the change when the headlight is turned on and off.
It’s a simple clamp-type meter, but being able to see the current (A) as well gives you much more confidence.
Once the main connector arrives, we’ll be done.
