GSX1400 Yoshimura Digital Temperature Meter Installation
This is the work to permanently mount the digital temperature meter that was temporarily installed a while back with the Yoshimura hand-bent Ti muffler.
The commercially available bracket ends up parallel to the post, which makes the LCD a bit hard to read, so we’re going to angle it slightly for better visibility.
We reduced the wall thickness, bent the edges to gain strength, and spot-welded it together as one piece.
Instead of using the existing Velcro, we’re using 3M Dual Lock in different strengths for the male and female sides.
It’s really nice that the holding strength doesn’t degrade even after years of use.
That’s the idea. For the power and ground, we’ve made new optional wires from a point where we can run them parallel, making it easy to connect and disconnect the connector.
