We sometimes cut with a contour machine and finish with a belt sander. But when you’re working with sheet metal like that, you could easily end up working until tomorrow. Angled notches and the like are tough with a belt sander or file, but with this tool—boom, done in a flash.
We sometimes call rounding a corner radius with a belt sander “feeling radius,” but I’ve been thinking lately that it’s better to be able to say clearly what radius we actually used.
Let’s think every day about how vague, vague work doesn’t end up with a vague finish.
