We remove the bodywork all at once and get to work.
The front wheel bearings look good. The distance collar position is also correct with no issues.
Let’s clean the caliper. I’ve been thinking lately that washing with a small amount of hot water is better for the environment.
The condition is excellent. The return action is smooth and I’m relieved. Some of these old calipers don’t move at all, you know.
The rear has an external dust seal. When cleaning, remove it and wash it. If it gets old, it sometimes won’t reattach.
Like the front, the operation is fine with no issues.
The rear wheel bearing press fit was a bit too tight, so I adjusted it. There are no problems yet, so let’s keep using it.
The hub damper is somewhat stiff, but there isn’t that much play, so I think we can leave it for the next time we remove it.
