The BIMOTA DB1 always looks great no matter how many times you see it.

The owner mentioned that gasoline was sputtering, so I’ll check it out.

Let me take measurements so I can put it back the way it was.

It’s just a cap. The O-ring keeps it well sealed.

I’ll clean it, apply gasoline-resistant grease to the sliding parts, and reinstall it.

I received an information email from a customer who is restoring a DB1, so I’ll check the tank side.
This is the one.

I checked the passage… I see. It’s starting to feel a bit tedious.

The passage pipe is also shiny. When I blew air through a hose from the bottom of the tank, the valve worked and there was continuity. But I wonder if it got hot and was boiling. For now…

While I’m at it, I’ll replace the plugs. Left front bank, right rear bank—both are well burned.

I can’t see the engine number without removing all the bodywork… from the rear, it’s completely blocked by the rear suspension and carburetor.
The stamping won’t come out cleanly either, so I’d appreciate it if you could verify it with the attached image. Worst case, I’ll remove it over there.
