Let’s install a Brembo forged brake master.
I heard a while back that the 19×18 was discontinued, and I thought everything would switch to switchable types. But it’s still in the standard lineup. If repairs won’t be a problem, the 19φ×18 is definitely the way to go.
Genuine products come with a card. I think all genuine products—tires, brakes, suspension, and so on—should have some kind of benefit or advantage. The instability might come from the fact that the same products don’t receive the same service support domestically.
The mirror holder is Craftsman brand, “C”
The brake switch is Bright Logic. I’ve looked at various Brembo switches, but I don’t think there’s a product that surpasses theirs.
Lever removal and attachment, switch adjustment for lever position, switch repair, and design—I’ve tried making simpler versions myself before, but this one really excels in overall performance.
I fabricated the brake hose bracket and tank bracket.
Recently I discovered that I can remove one side without removing the other, so I’ve been pulling them out left and right. I can’t go back to thin sheet metal contours or Versand anymore.
Stainless steel round bar bends easily too. I adjusted the die, so the bend marks are gentler now.
The brake hose is only about 5–10 mm longer than fully extended. A natural curve is important.
Off-the-shelf mesh hoses that anyone can install actually seem harder to fit. On bikes that are already equipped, they’re often twisted or not tightened properly. When you wash the caliper during maintenance, you twist it quite a bit, so some hoses come loose then. I’m afraid to use threaded types because of that. I think fewer checkpoints and management areas means more peace of mind and safety.
The oil cooler sticks out a bit too much—kind of scary. I’ll check on it.
I’m thinking I’d really like to switch to our own crimped hose eventually.
The T-FIT is fixed in the position where the front stand can be set up.
The other day, compared to the large tank, the Katana is smaller? With the master change, I had to remake it. Now we’re just waiting on the mirror.
