We ran into some pretty significant layout issues. We worked around them by relocating things.
The horn was in the way too, so we tucked it inside the fairing. Should have done that from the start?
We successfully worked around everything and completed the installation. The oil cooler that had dropped due to the standard hose routing is now lifted back up, giving it a much more natural look.
The customer also wanted the lever replaced, so we transplanted it over.
We also machined away the contact points in the same area.
The mounting on the oil pan side had multiple contact points and the muffler is close by too, so that was the trickiest part. The stock setup really is well designed. Now we just need to do a test ride and we’re done.
