Let’s perform oil-cooled maintenance.

First, we’ll replace the generator damper. The rubber had lost all its elasticity and become hard as a rock.

The engine damper showed significant wear and cracking.

The case side was in better condition than expected, which is reassuring. We’ll apply NewTech NC100 to the new damper before assembly.

Something felt off, so I took a closer look—there are supposed to be two pickup mounting bolts, but only one was present.

The system presses Delrin directly against the pickup. The torque is low, so it seems like it should work, but it’s actually borderline.

Since we were in there, we polished and cleaned it up. Assembly feels much better now.

Overall, there was no seizing and the cam condition was excellent.

The interior showed typical wear and dirt accumulation for the mileage.

We balanced the carburetors and we’re done. We also reinstalled the torn vacuum cap, so the bike should be running like it should now.
