The Impulse cowl (handlebar mount) and a large oil cooler are a terrible match.
I remove it and fabricate a rough bracket out of steel plate to secure it. This is so I can do a test fit to check for any contact and determine the hose layout. I don’t jump straight into the final installation.
It’s definitely going to make contact…
I’m not sure if the cowl position is slightly off or if the cooler itself is bent… it’s shifted to the right. I’ll lay out the hose routing first and worry about cowl contact afterward.
It’s better to do the oil-cooled maintenance first.
