DUCATI 749S Inspection and Self-Point Maintenance

Inspection, self-point maintenance, and rear suspension overhaul service.
*Please note that we do not generally accept foreign motorcycles.

Drive chain. I wiped it thoroughly inside and out, front and back, then lubricated it.

The radiator cap needs replacement. It’s looking a bit rough.
If the rubber part feels hard or the step is no longer crisp, it’s better to replace it.

The coolant has an odd color. A bit concerning.

I was relieved when I saw the color of what came out. After rinsing it several times with tap water, I refilled the coolant using a vacuum pump.

I marked with a marker dot to show how much was added, so anyone can check it.

I thought the rear looked unusually clean, but it turned out it had just been washed. Silver cast surfaces really show the dirt.

I replaced the brake fluid with Golden Cruiser DOT4 and we’re done.
I forgot to take a photo of the rear suspension…

That completes the work for today.
