Extension bar. I think any brand works fine.
A matte finish is relatively easy to find and less slippery.
I also often use a 100 mm 1/4 ratchet (Facom).

Whoever came up with this is amazing! It’s an incredibly handy tool.
There are 6-point and 12-point versions, but since we’re using it with a ratchet, 6-point is fine.
*I use the 6-point version. You can also slip shrink tubing over it to restrict movement!

I don’t use this T-type handle with these, but this box is what I use frequently with my 1/4 Facom ratchet. (I’m gradually moving away from Snap-on.)

• Easy to obtain
• Non-slip (plated finishes may peel off)
• Repair parts are available and easy to source
• Personal preference
I think it’s good to build up your tools with a basic, minimal setup.
Tool makers need to sell aggressively, so there are innovative tools out there.
But low usage frequency means they’re almost specialty tools
When I was younger, I wondered why you’d need so many wrenches and boxes in a toolbox.
But now I realize I have things in there I barely use…
They’re neatly arranged, but…I just don’t use them…
The depths of a toolbox are dark indeed…Collecting is totally valid too.
