A conversation I’ve been having a lot lately. Back in the day, when it got over 30 degrees Celsius, we’d say it was hot—I think about that wistfully now.

At least we have air conditioning… but I wonder what people do in places without it.
As usual, I’ll swap in a Honda shift rubber. Replacing the shift rubber now and then feels great.
I’ll replace the handlebar grips. I’m not a fan of the original texture, so I’ve added anti-slip tape in two layers for better grip. I think it’s a solid product.
The right side is an assembly, so I’ll replace it completely. I also lubricated the throttle cable while I was at it.
The owner has two air filters, so I’ll swap them out and keep using them.
I replaced the spark plugs.
I also replaced the step rubber this time.
I cleaned, lubricated, and adjusted the drive chain.
I cleaned the calipers and worked the pistons out.
Operation is excellent—if you push the lever hard, the pistons practically fly out.
Brake fluid should ideally be replaced every year, or at least every two years if you’re using it.
I swapped it out for the reliable Golden Cruiser DOT4.
After that, I lubricated the control systems from the outside and checked all the fasteners on the frame.
The bike is in great shape, so I kept this service on the lighter side.
Next is a test ride to wrap it up. Hmm, I’ll probably ride it at night though… (ΦωΦ)
