When I was younger, I used to think, “A muffler is all about good sound! Vroom!”
From experience riding long distances at high volume, my right ear next to the silencer would get tired, so I gradually went overboard with sound dampening—to the point where I’m not riding the bike anymore. (I’m blaming it on pollen and COVID.)
But standard mufflers are really well made, aren’t they? Including their durability.
I replaced both bar ends with brand new ones.
I replaced the brake fluid with Golden Cruiser DOT 4.
I also charged the battery.
I replaced the engine oil with ELF MOT4RACE 10W-60.
Summer cooling preparations for the oil-cooled engine are starting soon.
All that’s left is a test ride to finish up.
