The meat industry must be having a tough time without being able to serve alcohol… or so I imagine.
Work is happening, but it’s all “do this, then do that,”
people wanting pickups and all sorts of things… it feels kind of strange lately.
I’ve been working on the tail lamp area. (Still temporary.)
As usual, I’m positioning things roughly with a laser.
It’s the one sold on Amazon. The minimum specs are plenty.
It’s perfect for drilling holes too. Having one around is incredibly handy.
What should I use as a reference? That’s the dilemma.
As long as it doesn’t look crooked from the back at first glance, I figure it’s OK.
Keeping it loose enough to hide any imperfections is the way to go.
And that’s roughly how it’s done—finished!
The result looks a bit suspicious from the back.
The tail lamp is a Posh YFZ type.
It’s small, but the area is fine, so it passes inspection.
I went with a bullet-style turn signal.
Kijima… they’ve really gotten fancy. A bit pricey, but the machined finish really ups the premium feel. Turn signal lamp Starmine B4 anodized B/A 12V23W
This has such great quality I think I’m going to love it.
Small is nice, but this size also has the appeal of peace of mind.
The LED license plate light is a machined Evotech piece.
Great quality with a reasonable price—it’s the best.
For some reason, the muffler bracket hasn’t arrived… why?
Should I remake the bracket or just quickly make an offset plate? I went with the latter.
I machined it up with A2017 T=10MM for the first time in a while.
I was delighted with this amazingly large radius chamfer.
C chamfers are nice, but the R chamfer has that smooth, satisfying feel too.
It’s a bit flashy, so it’s better to keep this one black.
Hmm, it looks a bit suspicious. This SD Altis tail is really nice, I must say. (‘ω’)ノ
