Looking at it now, the BS34 seems pretty dated.
This carburetor has had a long life and we’ve relied on it quite a bit—I wonder if there are many different motorcycle models that used it.
Eventually it even got a TPS and was mounted on an XJR1200, after all.

Let me check the current condition (‘ω’)ノ

Even though I did all the carburettor work before, there’s sediment in all four of them.
Is it rust? Dirt? I’m not sure what it is.

The body side is clean. Let me just check the passages.

This GS1000S BS has a mysterious float valve clip attached—a strange specification. Comparing it to the sample from the other day, it’s the same size, so I’d like to order and replace it.

It’s gotten quite stepped.
With so much rust and debris, it’s like a wet blast—it really attacks aggressively. There’s no doubt that rubber float valves are the strongest.

I think the XJR-size valve could be used as-is, but since the price is nearly double, I’d rather go with the standard one.
If the timing works out, it might arrive tomorrow… or so I hope.

Everyone’s in Obon mode these days, so don’t forget!
