Finally finished!
I can’t say this job alone was done the same day.
The GPI partial fitting and contact verification takes way more time.
Always learning. The hose replacement is complete.
I tightened up the right side a bit and it installed cleanly.
The thermostat and pump have been polished and look great. All O-rings have been replaced. *The mounting bolts were also replaced.
The fan operation has been confirmed too (‘ω’)ノ
All hose clamps have been replaced with Norma clamps.
This is a safe design where the material doesn’t protrude from the grooves.
When reusing hose clamps, you need to measure carefully, and sometimes excess material from the clamp can stick out.
In that case, trim the excess to the right amount, deburr it, and install it for a better finish.
I also replaced the radiator cap. *The image is of a used one.
I also charged the battery.
On the test ride, on a day like today (29°C), the water temperature gauge only goes up about halfway.
Even though I hit quite a few traffic lights.
I wonder if the radiator cleaning did the trick… Now I just need to write up the invoice and we’re done (‘ω’)ノ
