Let’s push forward with the fabrication work!
My beloved Daytona D-UNIT+ has been installed (‘ω’)ノ
This time I went with a safe, conservative mounting location. As usual, I haven’t connected it to the battery.
I fabricated the camera bracket and manual switch bracket from SUS304 stainless steel (‘ω’)ノ
Positioning takes longer than actually making it.
All the fabricated parts have been painted off-black with Gun Coat (‘ω’)ノ
The front camera is mounted in front of the gill.
On the inside, it contacts at full stroke, so this position is the limit.
Since it has a wide-angle lens, I need to mount it quite far forward or the bike itself will be in the shot.
The more dashcams you install, the deeper it gets.
The rear camera is co-bolted to the license plate bolt as usual.
Older bikes have fewer mounting locations, so it’s a puzzle.
The switch is co-bolted to the clutch holder (‘ω’)ノ
The angle matches the switch, so there’s no awkwardness. And since your finger can reach it easily, it should be very user-friendly.
The GPS just gets tossed in there? (Just kidding).
The fabrication work is complete for now!
