The manual tire changer is so convenient it makes us cry!
We used to be all about hand-mounting at Decoboco.
When you think about our annual tire change volume, an electric tire changer just doesn’t make sense in terms of space and cost balance.
For shops like that, I’d absolutely recommend it.
Looking back now, I think hand-mounting might actually be the riskiest tire change method out there.
Lately, everyone loves the spiral spinner, and we stock those too, so they’re easy to get your hands on.
*To make it truly versatile, you’ll want to modify it a bit to suit your workflow.

Let’s swap out the rubber and gasket parts too. Green and orange O-rings are pretty cool, right?
If you notice the drain bolt is dirty, go ahead and swap it out without hesitation.
It doesn’t cost much, and having a clean one really changes your mood when you do an oil change.
*Try to avoid using Suzuki OEM gaskets. They’re a pain to remove.

Sometimes you get units that just won’t fit, so don’t assume it’ll always go on without a hitch.
There are stains on the cover, so the customer wants us to wet-blast it.
The OEM has clear coat on it, so we need to strip that first.
Clear coat really doesn’t adhere well over bare buffing, does it?

Well, yeah, but first make sure you thoroughly wash and degrease what you want to strip, then pop it in the oven!
Warm it up just enough that you can carry it with a rag, then spray Skeleton on it and—whoosh!—it strips away in an instant.
Gloves, mask, and goggles are absolutely essential. Skeleton is the go-to stripper, hands down!
