That notorious tight contact issue.
Since I wanted to keep the outer diameter as small as possible, I gradually sank it using a countersink bit for the push pin.
This made things much easier.
The GSX1200SS top bridge I ordered for testing.
The stem shaft on the GSX1200SS is longer, I see.
If we use it, we’d need to mill out clearance. It’s a casting, so using a lathe might work too.
We’re proceeding with the A+B=C strategy.
The base is already assembled. Flexibility in the design is probably best.
