The final fitting turned out to be surprisingly tedious. Is this a common custom bike thing?
We’ve reached 98.25% completion.
Right now, without the clip-on bars, white gel cowl, and screen,
the balance is a bit hard to judge, but I think it’s probably in a good position. (Subjective opinion.)
The tank gaps and handlebar turning radius are less forgiving than I expected, so the positions we can aim for are pretty limited.
A first-time experience?
A 250/400 tank with a 1100 upper cowl just doesn’t fit the lines and shape.
At first there were so many mysteries that I had to research a lot online.
I realized why there are so few side-view photos—I figured out the trick behind the image magic.
The upper cowl stays as is, and headlight beam adjustment is possible.
The seat is also removable with just one key.
Basically it’s close to bolt-on, so reversing it is almost possible. (Though not without some work.)
Next is just a bit more wire bundling and installing the D-UNIT, and we’re done! (*^-^*)
