GPZ750F Inspection, Swing Arm Replacement, Boss Welding, Rear Brake Hose Fabrication and More

Boom♪(´ρ`)

We ended up going back to the original direction.
Well, it just so happened that we caught bearing collapse and such, so let’s call that a win?

Before I knew it, I got used to it,
and swing arm replacement got faster?

Now that the bearings are all here, I’ll swap them out aggressively.

Take your time with the collapsed needle roller…

If only the outermost shell remains stuck, it becomes a real pain.
Lubricate, warm it up, and prepare—that’s all you can do.( *´艸`)

Ball bearings on the chain side—nice design?

Different manufacturers have different ideas. But I think it’s good.

Ground down the axle shaft for the puller.

Since there’s a ball bearing up front, a standard puller won’t catch.
Ground down the outer diameter of a spare (junk) axle shaft and turned it into a powerful knockout tool.

I want to transfer 100% of the impact force.

Watch out—don’t use the box for press-fit spacers.(´ρ`)

If you had a spacer that fit snugly inside the bore and could be struck firmly on the outer diameter, anyone could press it in reliably.

I think it’s better to avoid press-fitting with a box in general.

When a job requires a trick, risk is involved.
There are definitely parts that need tricks, but not every step needs to be tricky.

I got fancy with the brake hose fittings and the manufacturer is out of stock.( ;∀;)
Going standard!
*Caliper cleaning and fluid replacement are complete.
