I’m a lazy Makita enthusiast (*’▽’)
So the other day, I tried using the Makita Cordless Blower Dust Collector MUB187D with pants (a laundry net) on it, and it was a huge success.
Maybe it works with just the net? I decided to try it out.
I chose a drawstring-style laundry net, so all you do is put it on and squeeze it.
Here’s what the overall setup looks like.
Remember to remove the original dust collection bag.
I did a light cleaning of the entrance.
There were no particular issues with workability, and it seemed like the suction was even better, probably because there’s less resistance.
It’s well pulverized, and finer dust particles than this mesh will leak through.
However, it’s just about sand-level dust.
The net is easy to wash and manage, and if you’re collecting large amounts of fallen leaves, you can prepare plenty of laundry nets and swap them out frequently.
I think tools become more familiar to you when you explore “what if it could be like this?” after getting them.
*Note: When vacuuming sand or soil, your clothes will get dustier, so be careful, but I think this is actually a pretty good workaround. Hope this helps!
