Screaming Eagle? HSR, I see…
This carburetor is unfamiliar to those who only work with domestic bikes.
Despite having a flat valve, it’s a light and excellent carb.
How do I remove it again?
After a long time, I find myself thinking “hmm…”
The mix of metric and imperial is super annoying.
The fixing structure is so different it’s fascinating.

Once you get used to it, you can probably remove it pretty quickly.
This interesting carb also has V-seal type components.
I’m grateful that parts are available.
It gets pretty sooty from backflow. The float chamber was clean though.
I found this convenient kit for sale, so I’ll use it.

There are cheap-looking ones too. The OEM is the safest choice.
Float valve 4.2 is pretty big, I must say.
And that’s how the carburetor is done.
