I bought this Spacey 100 on Yahoo Auctions for about 30,000 yen
with no “love” for it,
yet it’s still running every day.
Thanks to good engine oil,
the “engine is super quiet.”
I’m going to replace the belt since it hasn’t been changed in about 10,000 kilometers.
No-touch fake shine effect (´ー｀)
Subtly, or rather quite effectively.
You can’t get this shine with just a wet rag.
The inside of the drivetrain cover is surprisingly dusty
If I air-blew this, it would be a disaster, so I’ll just wipe and vacuum it clean.
The belt and clutch were pretty rough.
The belt needs replacement at 10,000-15,000 kilometers.
When you do that, it’s good to replace the weight rollers and clutch shoes too.
*Our shop doesn’t do any scooter work at all.
It feels good to finish it up before reassembling.
Modern times have abundant equipment and tools to enhance cleaning and appearance.
You don’t have to work away by hand“in a flash”anymore.
It looks like it’ll keep running for a while longer.
If you treat a scooter like this carefully, it should probably easily handle 100,000 kilometers.
Not putting too much stress on the engine or frame“is important” for how you handle it.
I also replaced the air filter
This part is surprisingly useful for filtering.
Since I’m a cheapskate,“this can be reused, right?”
I remove it every time.
The garbage gets sorted nicely too, which is great (*´ω｀*)
