After finishing the OH work, it came back.

Something smells funky~
It smells subtly like gasoline.
The shop is… sniff sniff… sniff sniff

The GSX-R chain is wet
At first I thought it might be lube or something.
Oh, it’s gasoline! ( *´艸｀)
Heave-ho! When I put it on the lift…
From somewhere… accumulated gasoline dripped down.
Hmm.
There are clear traces of gasoline soaking from front to back.
Whatever leaked accumulated and dripped down.
Around the linkage, under the carb, on top of the air cleaner box
Everything is reddish-brown and wet.
And the harness too is wet…
The inside of the starter relay cover is soaked.
I was amazed it didn’t catch fire.
Good luck might be a skill too.
No matter how much I wiped
gasoline kept coming out from the gaps
so I decided to remove the linkage area as well.
I cleaned up all the parts.
In the end, it was a leak from the root of the fuel tank sensor wiring.
For now, I’m lending a used one, so please think about what to do.

I stored the fuel tank on newspaper for a day before installing it.
For now it should be fine.
