XSR900 Inspection Engine Oil Fluid Coolant 3-Point Fluid Exchange

Well, Obon is over now, isn’t it? ♪

Now it’s a straight shot until autumn?
It’s so incredibly hot outside that I have zero desire to step out of the shop.

Not riding much seems like a good idea for both people and bikes.

Bikes like the XSR900 and Z900RS have excellent serviceability.

The fluid exchange access is the best (*´ω｀*)
Water-cooled models with fairings take quite a bit of time, you know~

Modern bikes are truly wonderful~

No-touch wash.

Just fizz away the dirt and wipe it off.
The fake shine makes dirt harder to spot.

The key is how to keep cleaning consistently without spending much time.
Accumulation is the most effective approach.

Since it’s water-cooled, I went with Shell Rotella Ultra 10W-40 for the engine oil.

I replaced the oil filter and put a label on it so it’s easy to identify next time~

I replaced the brake fluid!
There are 2 tanks and 3 calipers.

I replaced the coolant.
It’s not jet black but bright blue, so rest assured.

This time it’s a nice green for peace of mind.

I also charged the battery and lubricated the sliding parts (*´ω｀*)
It was a day where I really felt that the latest models have great workability.
